Power Catamaran

The MS54p Catamaran was designed with very strict goals in terms of maximizing sailing performance, but without compromising living space and comfort. The result is a boat with simple lines, minimum wetted surface and minimum displacement. For its construction, materials such as Kevlar, D4, Dynnema and carbon fibers are used in structural reinforcements

Features
Spacious interiors. Main cabin with private bathroom, desk and dressing room. Three cabins for guests, two with private bathrooms. Large saving space at the bow. Solariun on bow deck. Hall with 360º exterior view and a kitchen included. Large interior pilothouse. Flybridge with pilothouse and a living area with a kitchen counter and a refrigerator. All the comfort and electronic facilities are included.

High Quality Technology in Construction
Designs under European standards and finite element calculations. Structures in composite materials laminated in unidirectional fibers in divinycell sandwich treated under infusion system. All reinforcements and structural bulkheads are vacuum glued.
The main bulkhead is built entirely in Carbon Fiber, vacuum laminated and post-cured in the oven. Additional carbon fiber reinforcements in all critical areas

Safety
The reinforcements, collision bulkheads and interior spaces are watertight and free of osmosis. Sacrificial material in fiberglass and foam is added in exposed areas for impact cases.
Bow and stern bulkheads seal watertight compartments.
The whole boat is absolutely free of osmosis thanks to the epoxy resin.
All these features make the MS54 catamaran a virtually unsinkable vessel. The best safety feature is speed. Speed makes it possible to reduce the travel time and to diminish probability of entering in a storm, but if this is inevitable, it is possible to plow through the waves.

Unlimited painting options:
Since Gel-coat is not used as in traditional manufacturing systems, the paint on the MS54 is 100% customizable.
The deck is finished with an anti-slip treatment and can optionally include teak or synthetic materials.
The interiors are Off-white "Satiné" with a smooth finish.
Customizable bottom according to the needs of the mooring method or location.
(Both the paint system and the choice of interior finishes generate more labor and therefore higher costs, but saves a lot of weight and that is the foundation of efficiency in our MS54)

Reduced weight results in efficiency
In order to include all elements of comfort and equipment comparable to the ones that large cruise ships have, it is necessary to reduce the weight of the construction process as much as technically possible. The composite materials of the MS54 must be extremely light. This is why it is essential to use construction techniques and materials that are used only for high competition boats and in the aerospace industry.
Epoxy resin is 5 times more expensive, but 30% stiffer and 2 times stronger than the polyester and vinylester resins used on most cruise ships and catamarans.
The same figures apply to carbon fibers but in this case, their characteristics and benefits are already widely known. Sandwich construction multiplies mechanical efficiency but it is also important to properly select the materials used as cores, honeycomb and cross-linked PVC that stand out from balsa wood or polyurethane foams. Additionally, as an added benefit, the system offers great thermo-acoustic insulation.
